Restaurant Sound System Installation at The Spa Hotel, SaltburnProfessional Multi-Zone Audio System for Hotel, Bar and Restaurant Areas

We recently completed a comprehensive restaurant sound system installation at The Spa Hotel in Saltburn, providing high-quality background music throughout multiple hospitality spaces including the bar, restaurant, reception, terrace, buffet area and customer facilities.

The project was designed to deliver clear, consistent audio coverage across the venue while giving staff simple and effective local control of music levels in key areas.

Bar Area Sound System Installation

The hotel’s main bar area was fitted with two Optimal Audio Cuboid 5 loudspeakers strategically positioned in the corners and directed towards the bar to provide excellent sound coverage and speech clarity.

A Cloud LM-2 wall-mounted control plate was installed to allow convenient local volume adjustment for staff.

Adjacent to the bar, the snug seating area was equipped with an additional Optimal Audio Cuboid 5 speaker, ensuring a seamless audio experience for guests throughout the lounge space.

Restaurant Background Music System

For the restaurant area, we installed four Cloud CSC5 ceiling speakers to provide even distribution of background music across the dining space.

The reception entrance area was also fitted with a Cloud CSC5 ceiling speaker, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests from the moment they arrive.

To give staff greater flexibility, Cloud RSL6 wall-mounted volume control plates were installed, allowing independent adjustment of music levels within the restaurant zones.

Hotel Terrace Audio Installation

The hotel’s upstairs terrace required a robust outdoor audio solution capable of performing reliably in varying weather conditions.

To achieve this, we installed four Optimal Audio Cuboid 5 IP-rated outdoor loudspeakers, delivering high-quality music coverage throughout the terrace area.

An additional Cloud RSL6 wall controller provides convenient local volume control, allowing staff to adjust music levels to suit different events and occupancy levels.

Buffet and Ancillary Areas

To maintain consistent audio coverage throughout the venue, an additional Optimal Audio Cuboid 5 speaker was installed within the buffet area.

The customer toilets adjacent to the bar were each fitted with a Cloud CSC5 ceiling speaker, ensuring a continuous and professional guest experience throughout the hotel.

Centralised Multi-Zone Audio Control

The entire sound system is controlled from a centrally located equipment rack featuring:

• Cloud Z8 eight-zone audio mixer
• Denon DN-300ZB CD, Bluetooth, USB and SD media player
• Two Cloud VA4120 four-channel amplifiers

This powerful combination provides reliable multi-zone audio distribution, flexible source routing and simple day-to-day operation for hotel staff.
