1888 PressRelease - Steven I. Dahl, the renowned humanitarian and doctor-turned-author, has just released his newest book, Rattlesnake, featuring page-turning plot twists that move the story from Colorado to Manhattan.

Gilbert, Ariz. - Readers have a fascination with stories that cause characters to face the most utterly impossible situations. Steven I. Dahl has just released a new book, Rattlesnake, that will take readers to their limits in terms of watching characters deal with challenges and responding to them in ways that protect themselves and their families.

"Crafting this story was a creative challenge," Dahl said. "I wanted Rattlesnake to have changes in direction that would cause readers to want to turn the page again and again. Putting the characters in tough positions is the best way to do that."

As the story begins, friends Brick, David and Derek make acquaintances with some unlikely biking partners in the form of a wealthy couple. These new friends take them onto an off-road course that leads them right into the nest of a powerful rattlesnake. What they don't know is that the new course they took will not only put someone's life on the line because of a rattlesnake bite but will take them all into danger. Their interaction with the strange couple will eventually expose their friends and family to even more ominous hazards. Winding and twisting through the rough terrain of Colorado to the populated streets of Manhattan, this book will lead readers to the real danger as they watch the three friends fight off the ultimate threat.

Readers of all ages will love Rattlesnake for the noble characters and the way that they pull together to help one another when facing true danger. "My goal is to allow readers to get fully absorbed into the story, and I think Rattlesnake does just that," said Dahl.

Rattlesnake can be purchased online now through SDP Publishing, Amazon and Barnes and Noble. For more information on Steven I. Dahl, to learn about his book signing schedule, or to hear about his other books, visit the author's website, http://md.authorstevendahl.com/.

About the Author

After thirty years of medical practice-delivering more than seven thousand babies-and raising five children with his wife, Paula, Doctor Dahl now splits his time between their homes in the Arizona desert and the mountain peaks of Utah.

Their most recent travels took them to central Europe, where for over a year they managed the medical care of the Latter-day Saints missionaries and researched the health care systems in such fascinating countries as Poland, Romania, Moldova and Serbia. These European adventures added to Dr. Dahl's experiences of living on the tiny islands of the Pacific, his Vietnam experience on a Navy hospital ship, and his time spent in a struggling Liberian hospital.

His previous fascination with ranching, flying, scuba diving, sailing and serving his country as a major in the U.S. Army all add credence and a realistic twist to his stories.

The best days of his life are those spent with his wife and family, especially their children and grandchildren. With his fifth novel penned and another taking shape, he and Paula will stay put in the United States for a while to watch the grandkids grow.
