Hampstead Theatre: Raving Set to Lure Londoners

Come autumn, it is theatre time in London. Now the big news is that actress Tamzin Outhwaite is returning to Hampstead Theatre by acting in the debut play of the actor Simon Paisley Day.

So the play named Raving¸which is a spoof on modern parenting and turbulent marital relations will be on show at Hampstead theatre from 17 October to 23 November.

Plot

The play will have the actress playing mother Briony, who with her husband Keith goes on a weekend in Wales to be away from the tribulations of parenthood. They are helped by close friends, Ross and Rosy in the trip to Wales where there will be no children. But as an anticlimax the peaceful getaway turns into utter chaos as other characters join the mix. In Raving the couple’s attempt to have a child-free weekend is hilarious as it descends into total chaos.

Actress Outhwaite had a stint at the Hampstead Theatre in DI and Viv and Rose and established her theatre credentials with strong performances in Sweet Charity and Boeing Boeing.

Raving signals the mission of Hampstead to seek out new talent and add excitement through Paisley Day's debut play.

The author Paisley Day started as a comic actor with credits from Twelfth Night at the National, Private Lives and The 39 Steps in the West End. The other actors are Robert Webb and Sarah Hadland. Webb is famous for his role in Channel 4’s Peep Show while Hadland appeared in ITV’s Miranda. The cast also has Issy van Randwyck, Ifan Huw Dafydd, and Nicholas Rowe.
