Author: Adney Smith

Honda have established a reputation for performance and safety across their whole range of vehicles. As the Japanese auto manufacturer is redesigning many of their models, there are plenty of new innovations and features being launched. The new Honda Jazz is no exception and here are five innovative features you can expect on Honda Jazz 2015 models.

5 Star ANCAP Rating:

Although not technically an onboard feature, the 5 star ANCAP rating on the new Honda Jazz can offer safety reassurance to any potential buyer. The third generation Honda Jazz 2015 models were recently awarded the maximum five star rating with a fantastic score of 36.58 out of a possible 37 points. According to Stephen Collins, director of Honda Australia, the new Honda Jazz was also the first vehicle tested using shared data with the ASEAN NCAP, Malaysian sister program to the ANCAP. The new Honda Jazz scored very well across all of the testing requirements, making it a very attractive deal for buyers.

Reversing Camera As Standard:

Unlike many small hatch models, the new Honda Jazz offers a reversing camera as part of the safety package as standard throughout the range. The reversing camera is displayed on the 7 inch touchscreen on the dash. This screen is also used for controlling audio settings and other infotainment features, including integration with your iPhone.

Magic Seats:

Honda’s fantastic Magic Seats system allows for amazing flexibility even in small hatch models such as the new Honda Jazz. Magic seats allow you to fold and flip the seats into eighteen possible combinations. There is also four configuration modes; long, tall, utility and refresh to allow you to organise your seating to perfectly suit your requirements. This allows you to transport tall items such as plants and even difficult items such as surfboards safely and comfortably.

Tuned Performance:

The Honda Jazz 2015 models have also had their engine performance tuned to provide great power without compromising on fuel economy and emissions. The innovative VTech engine provides 88 kW power and 145 Nm torque. This allows for fuel consumption of just 5.3 litres per 100 kilometres in ultra urban driving and 6.2 litres per 100 kilometres for combined driving conditions.

Multi Information Display:

This innovative display provides not only basic information from the odometer and trip meter, but also allows you to have instant fuel economy data and average fuel consumption figures. The display also provides an indication of when features such as the Hill Start Assist, VSA electronic stability controls and Emergency Stop are engaged.

With the currency exchange rates and the new Free Trade Agreement in place between Japan and Australia, there has never been a better time to consider the new Honda Jazz. With the range of innovative features, you will need to test drive the Honda Jazz 2015 models to see how great it is for yourself.
