How to pick the perfect paint color for your home: Dublin OH homes for sale: The Hetherington Team

It's that time of the year when many sellers are prepping their homes for the market in 2016 and many clients often ask what's the perfect color? There are so no fail neutrals that look great and should definately be on the short list. Ten years ago, it was all about beige. And while some beiges still look terrific, many buyers today are leaning towards a gray or gray/beige paint interior scheme.

Grey is the new beige

Whether you live in Dublin, Ohio or the greater Columbus metro area, there are some annual fav's when it comes to colors! Sherwin Williams Requisite Grey, Anew, Reverse Pewter look dynamite with white trim. Dove Tail, also be Sherwin Williams, is a darker grey and the perfect accent for a smaller room such as the dining area or living room. For white trim, check out Decorators White by Benjamin Moore, which is a pure white with very little yellow. Creamy, by Sherwin Williams and Dover White by Benjamin Moore are also great whites, although these two contain a bit of a yellow tinge. When in doubt, Decorators White is perfect.

If you prefer Beige

If you prefer the beige pallett, check out Softer tan or Macadamia, both by Sherwin Williams. Balanced Beige is my all time favoriate beige color and is definately worth a try.

The best way to test before you paint is to get a small sampling, but let's face it....who has time?? Pinterest is your new best friend. Simply go to the search bar and type in great paint colors for your home, or more specific if you like.....great grey paint colors for the dining room. Here is a page from the Pinterest Book!
