I had aspired to work in the software industry from when I used to be a little kid. The IT sector began to rise to prominence from the early 90s, and I took the plunge into the industry without having a fixed career plan.

I then got a diploma in computer science, after which I was recruited to my first job in 1988. My job description was to design screensaver applications with the help of Visual Basic. I completely loved this job and considered taking up software as my career.

After I was already experienced in the job of a programmer, I could understand that even though my skills as a programmer was good, it was important for me to learn about project management to get ahead with my career. This convinced me to take up ITSM and project management certifications.

Doing so, transformed my career drastically and I was getting promotions rather quickly. In recent times, I have observed clients be more demanding and in need of quicker solutions, as a result of the market being overcrowded and the constant need for companies to churn out quality services that stand out. This meant that our old techniques were not enough to fulfill customer needs.

The need to deliver and put in contribution is integral in my job as a project manager, as also the need for skillful project management. I thought, therefore, that I was going to benefit much from taking the Agile Scrum Master certification and training program that is highly sought after in the market right now because of how effectively it increases general productivity. I was also eager to know how exactly the training was going to impact on my organization’s success. To know the answer to these questions, I decided to take a training course.

I have already had the experience of taking the ITIL foundation and PRINCE2 certification courses from premium Institute and found out that they helped me quite a lot. It was because of my decision to upscale my skills with these certifications that I landed my current job as the project manager.

Training was enriching, saying the least for the instructors were highly talented and gave us to do regular practice tests to hone our skills before the certification exam. The course was able to answer two of my queries. I found out that Agile Scrum is a methodology that can adapt to any organization and has clear parameters to bring in success.

I was also trained to apply Scrum to different projects at hand that was being overseen by team members around the world. This training also taught me to make use of the state of the art Scrum tools like the Atlassian’s JIRA platform. I also become well skilled in Scrum terminologies and their daily usages by conversing with fellow learners. The training prepared me to handle sprint planning and sprint reviews.

I have also received training to produce a variant of Scrum artifacts that include product backlog, sprint backlog, and deliverables that are ready to go. Such a contribution makes it possible for my team to get done with jobs before timelines for important projects. I am proud to have cleared the EXIN Agile Scrum Master exam on my first try, and I use it every day now.
