Muscle recovery part in daily workouts is often ignored or not taken seriously, which mostly leads to bad results in-spite of spending several hours in the gym and doing rigorous workout plans. Muscle recovery is the process in which body uses protein and nutrients to build up the muscle tissues that you have breakdown during your gym workouts. Muscle recovery is the most misunderstood concept among the muscle seekers.

Most of us don’t realize the fact that every muscles in our body requires different time to recover, for example biceps, triceps, calves requires less time to recover as compared to legs, chest, back which requires relatively more time to recover itself. So in order to tackle this problem one has to very much organized and conscious about his/her gym session and how they split their workout sessions within a week. Stepping out of the gym is equally important as stepping in the gym. Every muscle must be given appropriate amount of time to recover because time is the most important factor in muscle recovery along with nutrition, intensity of work out and the split plan. One can give extra stress to a particular muscle by giving it no recovery time; in that case the body literally goes through hell. Secondly, a particular muscle may be given more than required time to recover which will lead to underdevelopment and little result in a given time.

For example consider biceps, if you work on your biceps every Monday then you are giving it more than required time to recover because biceps requires around 3 days to recover and you are wasting 4 days of the week in which you can just double the results, on the other hand if you work on your biceps daily then you are certainly over-stressing it and giving it no time to recover and to build the broken tissues. Other important factor is nutrition intake, working out hard in the gym is of no use if u go back home and fill your stomach with crap. When muscle recovers it actually builds up tissues and for that it requires protein which is the building block of life. If you don’t supplement your body with right amount of nutrients you will end up getting little or bad results. Every muscle require different amount of nutrients to recover, so you must organize your nutrient intake with respect to your workout plan so that you don’t overdose your body with nutrients neither you suffer from malnutrition due to less nutrient supply.

Intensity of work out is also important to synchronize with your muscle recovery. Time require for muscle recovery also depends upon how hard you are working on it. So you must keep track of the intensity of workout on you different muscle. If you don’t give your muscle appropriate time to recover can lead to serious problems like mental fatigue, body pain, bad sleep, etc. So muscle recovery must not be overlooked if you are really looking for a healthy and muscular body with a sound and agile mind.
