Add Life to Your Boring Office Furniture
Posted: Aug 14, 2015
Here are ways to go about it:
Add personal touches
No matter how cool your office furniture is, until you add a personal touch to your desk it will merely remain a piece of furniture. The idea of personal touch differs from person to person, while for some it can be keeping a family photograph, for others it can be an inspiring work of art or book. Explore what makes you happy, it can be a gift by someone special or a toy that takes your stress away.
Adapt to changes
Some people take longer than others to adapt to changes, whether it’s technological (printers, computers, etc.) or physical (modular office furniture, office layout, etc.), learn to adapt to it quickly rather than getting anxious.
Add a plant or two
Apart from beautifying the environment, adding a plant to your desk has numerous other advantages. These include, less stress, lower blood pressure, lower humidity, decreased noise levels, increased positive feeling and fresh air. Just make sure you have ample space to keep it, you don’t want to create a mess.
Keep your desk organized
The messier your desk the more stressed you are. It has been proven that many people find it difficult to focus when their desk is piled with papers, files, magazines and newsletters. Get rid of all the unwanted stuff lying on your desk and organize those which you need. At the end of each day before heading home, clean and organize your workspace.
Create a collage or mood board
This is a good way to showcase your creative side. Whether you are good at sketching, writing poetry or have a bucket list. This is a good place to put it up and get inspired by your own creativity. Change it from time to time depending on what has been attracting your attention lately.
Well, I’m just a simple guy that dreams a bit too much. Yes, I’m deeply in love with life and nature. Even though it’s not easy, I try to smile with every chance I get. I have lots of dreams and ideas, some of them small, some of them really big.
