Chad Kienholz, Giving Cheerfully

As a businessman who owns his own general contracting company, Chad Kienholz understands the impact his business can have on the community. Kienholz believes in providing the best work possible and never compromising on the quality of his work. Another way Kienholz serves his community is through giving to his church in Lakeville, Minnesota and regular giving to charities. Kienholz enjoys giving to charities that make an impact on his community and spreading awareness for causes that he is passionate about.

Chad Kienholtz currently donates funds to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and frequently gives to the Boy and Girl Scouts of America. He also enjoys placing large orders from Scout fundraisers and handing out the products to others. Although he believes in giving to help others, he also sees the benefit a person receives when they give to others expecting nothing in return. As a successful entrepreneur with a difficult past growing up, he sees great value in helping those that are less fortunate and genuinely finds joy in acts of kindness whether large or small. He believes that giving to others with a joyful heart helps create a stronger community where people respond with generosity and compassion when they see others in need.

Many of the charities that Kienholz advocates for rely heavily upon outside donations and the generosity of others. "St. Jude's, in particular, has an operating cost of several million a day and they rely almost exclusively on the charity of others to meet those needs. I don't think everyone knows that but it's important." He says, speaking of the charity that is near to his heart.

"Giving to others seems to have a way of coming back around." He says of his love of helping his community. "If you help meet the needs of others, it seems that you will receive that same blessing in your time of need. It's happened for me. I've found success in something I love, and I want to pay that happiness and hope forward." He says with a smile.

He also adds that giving may not always mean monetarily. There are many worthy causes that are in dire need of volunteers to help meet their operational needs, run fundraisers, and spread awareness. "Donating time is often just as important, if not more valuable, than giving monetarily." He adds. "It's about doing whatever you can to make where you are a better place. If we all do that, think of what we could achieve. The possibilities are endless."
