  • Pain that extends beneath the right shoulder blade or in the back
  • Pain that increases upon eating, especially foods that are high in fat
  • Sharp, cramping pain
  • Vomiting
  • Jaundice
  • Abdominal tenderness
  • Chills

When gallbladder problems are suspected, doctors have a number of options to help at their disposal. In some cases, medications may provide relief. For others, surgical removal of the gallbladder may be in order. If pain related to the gallbladder is suspected, it is best to get the condition checked out by a professional healthcare provider.
