According to the study conducted by Flatpebble Data Sciences Lab, people from Mumbai and Chennai are the biggest money spenders on this genre of photography. The survey also stated that 6 metros of India accounted for 85% of all demand for wedding photo shoots sourced online.

Not just candid wedding photography but cinematic videography trend has also picked up pace in metros. However, the demand for videos remains low because of high production costs. People prefer getting the pictures in the form of printed photo books rather than a traditional wedding album.

Finalizing a good wedding photographer has become as important as finalizing the menu or décor. Since people are willing to pay a huge amount for the type of photography they want, professional wedding photographers are making good money in this profession.

From learning the techniques and skills of clicking amazing photos to understanding how to use different equipments and backgrounds, there is a lot to learn before you get into this profession.

Besides learning the basics of using the camera to shoot stunning images, the photographer also needs to have a good aesthetic sense. He or she should know how a certain subject will be look good from a certain angle. If you wish to become a freelance wedding photographer, you will have to do some self marketing to get clients.
