The Lehenga styled saree is one of the most fashionable and traditional outfit’s people pick for their weddings and other occasions all through the year. The royal feel of lehengas clubbed with the gracefulness of the Sarees is making everyone in the fashion world go gaga over it.

With the onset of traditional wedding seasons or the parties, comes the need of wearing something unique, yet traditional. The Lehenga Sarees are in highest fashion today, with their gorgeous and comfortable style.

As the name refers to, these are Lehenga Sarees. Hence, there is a heavy emphasis on not just the magnificent lehenga skirt, but also on the drape or the dupatta. It is a known fact in the designer’s world that the way the Dupatta is draped on the Lehnga or the blouse creates a unique style statement. Hence, even with a Saree style lehengas, you can still capture the hearts of everyone present at an occasion, with the way you carry the Saree on your shoulders.

This wedding season, be the cynosure of all eyes, by following some of the simple tips to wear your Lehenga Style Sarees with flair.

  • The Sarees or the drape that comes with the Lehengas contains beautiful embroidery all around and also on the borders. If your saree has some heavier embroidery on the edges, the best way is to drape it over your head and leave it down to flow gracefully. You can fix it up with a few invisible pins to let the saree remain in place.
  • Alternatively, when you drape your dupatta on your head, leave one side a little longer than the other. Now, bring the long end to drape on your shoulder in a simple U- shape. This style will show off the embroidery on the borders and any other motifs on the saree, beautifully.
  • When you buy a Lehenga style saree, ensure that your drape is longer and has some gorgeous designs to complement the skirt. A contrast colored Saree would work if you want to carry the Saree crisscrossed across the lehenga and taken it in hand, with style.
  • Moreover, if you would like the Dupatta to be worn as such, just drape it across your shoulders, and on the hips, just as you wear a traditional Saree. A heavier Lehenga, with a simpler Saree, would work wonderfully in this style.

The way you wear the Saree on a lehenga can change the way you project yourself. Hence, depending upon the type of lehenga or the Saree on the top of it, pick your style, to create a fashion statement.
