Hero and Honda both have aimed their products squarely at ladies who want an easy to ride, haul it up on the main stand and reasonably fuel efficient scooter. So we put the two of them through the spec shootout to see how they fare with each other.

Exterior: Hero pleasure is adorned with luxury, comfort and style. The slim and curvy structure makes it ideal for the fairer look. It comes with headlamps, tail light cluster, mudguard and panels. The highly defined body graphics, rear mirrors, rear grip, tail light, and multi reflector headlight completes the look. A large under seat box, large set, inner rack, luggage hook hook are the extra features added to Pleasure. The Honda Activa i has a new indicator and new tail lamp. However, it does look a lot like the Aviator from the front. It is slimmer and lighter. The new Honda Activa-i comes with features like tubeless tyres, maintenance free battery and viscous air filter.

Engine and Mileage: Hero Pleasure is powered with air-cooled, 4-stroke single cylinder OHC. The Pleasure can reach the speed of 60 kmph in twelve seconds and has a top speed of 85 kmph, which is slightly lower than what is offered by the Activa. Pleasure offers kick and electric Start options.

Although both bikes offer an almost identical fuel tank capacity of 5L and 5.3L, the Activa is bigger than the Pleasure in length, width and height. Moreover, the Activa has a better ground clearance figure of 145 mm as compared to the 125 mm offered by the Pleasure. The Activa i gets Honda’s Combi Brake System while the Pleasure makes do with traditional brakes.

The Pleasure Front wheel gets Swing arm suspension and rear features Bottom link. The Activa gets Spring Loaded Hydraulic Type for both wheels. Pleasure is available in Candy Blazing Red & Black, Candy Blazingred, and Dream colors while Activa comes in Beige, White, Red and Silver.
