There are many different items made out of fiber that you can use to insulate your plant equipment. Here are 5 different types of fiber items that you might benefit from purchasing. If you want to browse items, click here for the full list.

Expandable Ceramic Fiber Paper

The expandable it is made out of natural graphite, pure it, and organic binders. If you need to wrap something for fire protection, seal industrial furnaces or join insulation together, the ceramic fiber paper will do the trick. This can be used at a continuous temperature of 2100 degrees and a maximum temperature of 2300 degrees. You can buy it in two and four foot lengths and thicknesses of one-eighth and one-sixteenth of an inch.

Ceramic Fiber Textiles

These are types of rope, clock, tape, braid, and other textiles made from this material. They’re free of asbestos and can be used at temperatures up to 2300. The rope is a three-ply twisted rope. You can buy different types depending on the density that you are looking for. Ceramic fiber rope is great for refineries, gasketing and packing, wood-burning stove doors and glass furnace truck stone seals. The tape, sleeving, and other ceramic fiber textiles work well for pipe wrapping, welding curtains, gaskets and seals.

Insulating Firebricks

Insulating firebricks are great for many different applications in a wide variety of industries. Each firebrick is careful crafted and ground down to specific dimensions. They are mostly organic and natural fibers and have an extremely low level of impurities such as iron. The majority of the chemical composition is made up of Silica and Alumina. When you heat the bricks, they will heat to the proper temperature very quickly. When you’re ready for the bricks to cool, they will cool quickly as well. There are many different firebricks models. The different models offer different density and temperature.

Ceramic Fiber Modules

If you need insulation for industrial machinery, modules are exactly what you need. They are the perfect solution for kilns, boilers, incinerators, furnaces and heaters. There are different types of ceramic fiber modules that you can choose from. These include zirconia grade and high-purity grade. The high-purity grade modules have a continuous use limit of 2012 degrees, and a maximum use limit of 2300 degrees. If you need a module that can withstand even higher temperatures, the zirconia grade is for you. It was a continuous use limit of 2461 degrees and a maximum use limit of 2600 degrees. Both of the modules are made mostly from alumina and silica; however, the zirconia grade is made from zirconia, too.

Mineral Wood Board

Mineral wood board is another application to insulate plant equipment. The boards offer an operating temperature of around 1700 degrees. The wood has a binder that might cause smoke when you first heat it over 500 degrees, but the smoke will dissipate after a few minutes.

It’s important to keep your factory and plant equipment properly insulated. You need ceramic fiber because it’s an organic material that can withstand the high temperatures.
