Congratulations! You have your degree. That's one major accomplishment that you can put in the history books. Now what? What are you going to do with the next 50 years or so? How do you get the most value out of your degree, and live the fullest life possible? How do you avoid wasting your life? Here's some good news. There are 10 things you can do to make best of your life after graduation.

1. Find an Awesome Place to Live

The happier you are with the city of town that you live in, the happier you will be in general. So, take some time and pick a great city to call home. Remember to consider the economy, community values, job prospects, climate, and lifestyle as you make your decision.

2. Be Smart With Your Money

Your financial help is extremely important. A healthy savings account and a good credit rating can help you fulfill your dreams of buying a home, retiring while you are young enough to enjoy it, and enjoying life. Learn to save money, stick to a budget, and avoid impulse spending.

3. Find a Great Job

You're going to have to work almost every day for the next few decades. Do something that you love. If you are an entrepreneur at heart, do what it takes to launch that startup you've been dreaming about. If you want to play a role in making another person's empire great, use job search resources that will help you find the perfect job.

4. Take Great Vacations

Great vacations expand your horizons, help you get to know other cultures and communities, and give you a much needed break to recharge. Travel with friends and family for the companionship, but don't be afraid to travel alone.

5. Become a Decent Cook

You know that you cannot live on the college student diet forever. Don't worry though, learning to cook is not as difficult as you think. Buy a cookbook for beginners, watch a few videos, and invest in a little equipment.

6. Hold Onto Your Friendships (and Create New Ones)

While you're busy making your way in your new career, don't forget to spend time working on your friendships. Make socializing with old friends a priority. Then, work on forming new friendships by pursuing interests, volunteering, or joining a club.

7. Be a Good Citizen

Take part in the political process. Get to know the candidates. Watch the news. Pay attention to the issues. Then, vote so that your voice is counted. Better yet, take part in the process by attending city council meetings or volunteering to be an election judge.

8. Take Care of Your Body

If you keep your body as healthy as possible, everything else in life will be so much more enjoyable. So, play a sport, take a walk, and eat your fruits and vegetables. Remember to always make and keep your annual medical appointments as well.

9. Take Care of the Earth

The better job you and your fellow graduates do at taking care of the earth, the better off everyone will be. So, use alternative energy when possible, recycle, and do anything else that you can to save the earth. Not only will your grandchildren thank you, it is likely that you will some benefits in your life as well.

10. Help Others

You have been fortunate enough to attend college and earn a degree. Why not give back to those who have not been as lucky. It will give your life more purpose, and you will leave behind a legacy of service.
