Managing Time: The Key to Every Door
Posted: Oct 09, 2015
Time management is something that has tricked people across the globe. Everyone is running a race against time and it is not unusual to see people especially professionals loaded with insane amount of work complaining about shortage or dearth of time. Have you been complaining of too much work and too little time? Have you a presentation and burning the midnight oil the only possible solution you seem to have? Are you constantly been juggling with productivity issues at work and been at the back front because of not meeting efficiency standards? Well, it is high time you should consider taking some time management training.
It is gaining momentum as more and more professionals struggle with time management. It is not a herculean task if one were to analyze it rationally. It simply requires some amount of introspection and a great deal of discipline and perseverance. In fact, time management is something we have been taught since childhood only to forget it at every crucial stage in our life. They say it is never too late. One of the most spectacular training programs is being offered by Door Training and consulting that is a perfect mix of required tips and tricks to run shoulder to shoulder with time devoid of any hassles.
The following tools could be instrumental in taking those first steps towards successful time management training:
- 1. Prioritize: This is the thumb rule that should not be compromised under any situation whatsoever. You must make a check list of the most important task at hand and take them one by one based on their deadlines and due date. Do not juggle up work by stressing over a presentation that is due a month after. Instead, finish up the urgent work and move on in a smooth manner to the other tasks. So you know the first premise of a good time management training schedule.
- 2. Concentration and Focus: These two elements when combined together make up a perfect recipe for productivity. The more concentrated you are at the work at hand, the more efficiently you would complete it and of course, in much lesser time. A good thing would be to shut down all the major social sites that are a big source of distraction and complete the due office work. This is the second rule of a successful time management training module.
3. Avoid procrastination and remain self motivated: Always remain motivated to reach your goal and avoid delaying important tasks for later time. Time once lost never comes back and it fleets away only to leave you bewildered. This is a much understated rule of successful time management training module.
4. Learn to say no: At the outset it might appear rather rude but if you analyze it is actually not. In life, working or otherwise you would be facing situations that require you to be assertive and say no. If you do not wish to go to a party because of some pending work then be it. Peer pressure should be the last thing on your platter to hinder you from marching on productivity.
These tips combined with a number of other times management training skills (like the ones included in Door Training and Consultancy’s program) would prove to be excellent motivators to keep you going. What are you waiting for? The clock is ticking!
