Ucontrol Pty in Australia has introduced a pioneering product in the form of new generation, highly compact STR571 remote Modbus display. People can use it to view and modify variables on slave devices connected to an RS485 network. This device has a 2.42 inch monochrome (yellow) OLED graphical display offering a lifespan of up to 150,000 hours. There are 4 front keys to easily browse and edit data as required. Weighing just 165 grams, the STR571 remote Modbus display container is made of polycarbonate V0 with the front panel made of high quality silicon rubber.

This cutting-edge device has a dimension of 96x48mm and comes with IP54 (on front) with gasket and IP20 (container and terminals) protection for optimal use in any industrial environment. Distinctive features of the STR571 remote Modbus display include multi-language menu and maximum variables of up to 8 with configurable display by means of 1-4 variable parameters per page.

The operating temperature of this device ranges from 0 to 45°C with humidity ranging from minimum 35 to maximum 95 Rh%. There is an extended power supply ranging from 24 to 230 V AC/V DC ±15% 50/60 Hz. Connectivity is provided by a second RS485 serial port with Modbus RTU slave protocol and by a Virtual Com Port on micro-USB. There are 2 relays output with 2 A - 250 V AC contacts and resistive load function. The extremely compact STR571 remote Modbus display also features 3 digital inputs with configurations PNP/NPN (2) and NO / NC.

Ucontrol’s innovative modus display features English/Italian/German/French/Spanish intuitive multi-language interface with maximum up to 8 reading and writing variables on various Modbus slave devices. It is possible to automatically select the maximum display font size for enhanced data reading.

Configuration of variables includes a maximum 16 characters description followed by max 5 characters unit of measurement and 16 bit, 32 bit, 32 bit format floating point. There is also numerical or enumerative display for values 0 to 4 and easy processing of read data. An excellent feature of this device is the possibility of enabling timed automatic scrolling of the display pages of the variables and possibility of connecting a rotary encoder on the panel to the digital inputs to facilitate browsing of various pages and to edit the variables and alarm setpoints. It is also possible to view the communication status for each of the enabled variables and setting the value of a variable with a potentiometer.

With regard to the alarm mode in the STR571 remote Modbus display, users will find Absolute/Threshold, Band with instantaneous/delayed/retentive action and by digital input/communication failure / activation from serial communication.
