Surrogate Mother and Baby’s Health Status reports that you receive in 9 Months of Pregnancy

Your surrogate is pregnant! Every 4 – 6 weeks post positive pregnancy, Go Surrogacy will email you the medical status and reports of the surrogate. Post 20 weeks pregnancy; you will also receive a photo of the surrogate with each status.

You are also welcome to visit the clinic at every scan and be present during the scan.

Our surrogacy clinics generally follow the following ante natal care schedule for all our surrogates. Needless to say, any surrogate requiring medical care on a medical emergency is cared for on an urgent basis.

15 DAYS FROM EMBRYO TRANSFER : POSITIVE PREGNANCY RESULT

5 WEEKS : SCAN TO DETERMINE NUMBER OF GESTATIONAL SACS

6 WEEKS : SCAN TO DETECT FETAL POLE (YOUR GROWING EMBRYO) AND HEARTBEAT

12 WEEKS : BLOOD TEST – COMPLETE BLOOD COUNT (CBC), URINE TEST & DOUBLE MARKER.

NUCHAL TRANSLUCENCY SCANS (MEASUREMENT OF THE FLUID BEHIND THE BABY’S NECK). SONOLOGIST LOOKS FOR A NASAL BONE AND MEASURES BIPARIETAL DIAMETER (BPD), ACROSS THE TOP OF THE HEAD AT ITS WIDEST POINT. SONOLOGIST LOOKS FOR GROSS CONGENITAL ANOMALIES (GCA)

TRIMESTER TWO

(SECOND TRIMESTER STARTS WEEK 13)

16 WEEKS : ROUTINE SCAN AND TRIPLE MARKER TEST

20 WEEKS : LEVEL II SCAN (3D SCAN)

BABY IS MEASURED FROM CROWN TO RUMP, AROUND THE MIDDLE HEAD. THE FOUR CHAMBERS OF THE HEART, KIDNEYS, BLADDER, STOMACH, BRAIN & SPINE WILL BE VIEWED. A SURVEY OF THE ORGANS INCLUDING UMBILICAL CORD, ENSURES THAT THEY ARE DEVELOPING NORMALLY. SONOGRAPHER LOOKS AT AMNIOTIC FLUID LEVELS, LOCATION OF THE PLACENTA, AND FETAL HEART RATE.

INJECTION : TETANUS TOXOID FIRST DOSE

26 WEEKS : ROUTINE SCAN

BLOOD TEST – GTT

INJECTION : TETANUS TOXOID SECOND DOSE

32 WEEKS : ROUTINE SCAN

BLOOD TEST – CBC & URINE ANALYSIS

36 WEEKS : COLOUR DOPPLER STUDY - TO CHECK HEART AND FLOW IN MAJOR BLOOD VESSELS

BLOOD TEST – CBC & URINE ANALYSIS

37-40 WEEKS : DELIVERY OF BABY
