Appreciated and accredited for the smooth and mellifluous froth, for the stable fragrance and with smooth bitterness that coffee has, the rich persistent varnish uplifts this coffee among various other varieties and is one of the most exclusive & costly coffees around the world. It is cultivated in the island of Jamaica wherein the jagged territory, natural gloom, rich soil and a vaporous as well as cool climate blazes the coffee cultivation with stable rain.

Reason behind the exclusiveness & refinement:

Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee is one of the finest among other varieties because firstly, the entire production from the Blue Mountains isn’t as much as it should be. As compared with various other countries where coffee is grown, Jamaica witnesses a relatively low production which makes the brew scarce. This limitedness and not an easy availability makes it relatively costly than other coffees around the world. Secondly, when someone describes a unique and distinctive coffee-growing atmosphere; it is the environment that is enclosed in mist and clouds with cool air. This environment requires ten months at an average, for cultivating coffee which perhaps, improves the taste of it and adds to the cost.

In other countries, coffee is either grown on a smooth acreage or on developing hills but when it comes to Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee, the brew is planted in grows wherever the soil permits a cultivated growth. Also, there are some parts wherein the cherries get ripened and on some parts it doesn’t so there is too much labour invested to pick the coffee from where it has been ripened, it adds to the exclusiveness of this brew as well.

Why is it so good and smooth?

When it comes to Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee, after it has been brought into the green state of the bean, the coffee is intricately checked for defects. The beans are categorized for size and are brought into streamlined and same shapes like other beans. The defected beans are used domestically but they are not allowed to be exported. Therefore, about eighty-five percent of beans which are classified and checked for the defects are then, exported. However, result being refined, smooth and so good.

The people of Jamaica are quite familiar with the exquisiteness and refinement of their coffee and they can go to all levels to make it certain that the quality and excellence of the beans are in good shape and superiority. The Coffee Industry Board of Jamaica has set legislative rules for the gathering, processing and sweltering of these brews. Additionally, if the coffee has to be exported it must be savoured and assessed by the Coffee Board before getting exported. Ironically, the cuppers who sit for the tasting, savour each and every coffee before it gets exported which makes it worthwhile. However, the price and the refinement of Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee is quite clear and transparent after getting acquainted with these amazing and at the same time, astounding facts related with this brew. It is worth the cost, for sure.
