Infographic "Harvard Celebrities - Who Knew"

We are all multi-faceted people. We have many different interests right now, and we will no doubt "drop" some of those interests and pick up new ones as our lives move forward. Sometimes students enter college with a pretty firm idea of their career goals; other students are still taking some time to consider their options; still others have no idea at all what path they will ultimately pursue. And sometimes, when students graduate in a chosen field, they discover that their choice is just not for them after all. They have developed a passion for something completely different.

We have created this Infographic on SmartCustomWriting to show you that even the "best and brightest" students in our colleges and universities do not necessarily have a "handle" on what they will ultimately choose as their life’s work. They began in a program of study at Harvard, and things changed along the way. And, all of them are glad that things did change. So you too may experience the same thing.

1. 1. Except in just a few cases, all of these very smart people discovered that they had passions for things other than their major fields of study.
2. 2. Most of them went on to fulfill their degree requirements but entered career fields that had little to do with their academic credentials.
3. 3. All of them have achieved celebrity status of one form or another.
4. 4. They all depict an important principle – life is not a straight line. It is a curved path, and you can hop off that path at any time to experience something new, interesting, and unique.
5. 5. They also demonstrate that as you experience something new and different, you may awaken passions that you did not know existed. Those passions may take you far away from your original goals.
6. 6. Many of these Harvard grads joined campus organizations which fostered new interests that took them to new places. How could Jack Lemmon have known, as he majored in war service science, that his membership in a theatre group would result in Oscar winning performances?
