Service Tracking Systems, Inc. releases Damage Pix, a comprehensive cloud
Posted: Oct 24, 2015
(1888 PressRelease) Service Tracking Systems, Inc has been in the parking industry for years now. They have created Damagepix, a cloud based vehicle photo documentation systems for auto businesses, small and large. Service Tracking Systems, Inc, is announcing today the launch of Damagepix, which has three variations, mounted, movable and mobile.
San Francisco, CA - Service Tracking Systems, Inc. announced today that it has released its new DamagePix cloud-based application suite that allows both business and customers to objectively document the pre-existing condition of vehicles using HD images. Business users also have the option to define and track a multitude of related items, such as the odometer reading and fuel level. The application can be configured to handle any number of properties stand-alone or on an enterprise level to maximize efficiency, lower operating costs and significantly reduce unpaid damage claims.
"With the addition of our DamagePix Mobile app, our clients can leverage this technology, regardless of volume across multiple locations, to reduce unpaid damage claims."- Tom Bradfish, Product Manager, Service Tracking Systems.
For car rental companies, a major flashpoint for disputes is the condition of the car when a customer returns it. Without systematic documentation, there is no way to establish who is right when the customer claims that the damage wasn't his fault. Such a dispute descends into a my-word-versus-yours arguments that not only alienates the customer, but also can't be settled adequately. This also results in skyrocketing levels of unpaid damage claims. The DamagePix Suite virtually eliminates this problem, not just for car rentals but a whole gamut of related use cases and industries.
Business users define multiple physical properties of the vehicle along with location details such as rental and return lanes. Unique IDs to which these images are associated may include license plate, VIN number, rental agreement number, unit number, etc. All the images and data are automatically uploaded into the cloud and are easily searchable and filterable by any of the input properties.
The new DamagePix suite takes enterprise-level integration to a whole new level using three key applications:
- DamagePix Mounted is a fixed, drive-through, automated multi-camera lane system. It uses its hosted License Plate Recognition engine to read license plates and tie them to image sets for quick searches. This system is popular with high volume vehicle operations such as car rental agencies at airports and auto auctions.
- DamagePix Movable is ideal for lower volume applications with a portable, fully automated, dual kiosk camera lane system, perfect for medium volume applications such as off-airport rental agencies and auto dealerships.
- DamagePix Mobile is the third application of the suite that is extremely handy for individuals to document the state of their own vehicle prior to valet parking or servicing as well as for smaller rental agencies, car-shares, towing operations, auto service bays, etc. This goof-proof new mobile app takes the user through a Guided Tour of photo templates that ensures consistency and repeatability across multiple vehicles and properties. The user may easily indicate previous damage on an image with as little as a touch and can share images and damage notations via SMS or email.
Whether just one application in the suite is used or all three, all the HD images from all sources are stored and easily accessed from the http://www.damagepix.com website. From DamagePix.com, a user can search for image sets by license plate, make, model, color, VIN number, unit number, time, date, property, etc. Users can magnify images to search for additional damage and create side-by-side image set comparisons, showing before and after damage conditions for export or email.

About Service Tracking SystemsThe idea of documenting the physical condition of a vehicle in order to identify the origin of damage has become an industry hit ever since Service Tracking Systems invented (U.S. Patent Issue #6630893) and brought this technology to market back in early 2002 in the Valet Parking Industry, where customers typically see damage claims reductions of up to 80%.
DamagePix is not just another pretty app. It is the result of understanding the art and process of reliably capturing and processing HD images of vehicles in all sorts of situations and conditions. The DamagePix suite of products has closed the loop by addressing every conceivable application of the product, understanding that no two operations are the same.
