Positioned in the heart of Cheltenham's premier retail space in Montpellier Courtyard you'll find the charming and utterly delightful Dulcie Children's Boutique.

It's only been open nine weeks but already the family business, run by Chloe Chattersingh and her mum, Claudia, is causing quite a stir and parents from far and wide are flocking to find traditional, quality outfits for their children.

The journey to create the business began when Chloe was pregnant with her first child.

"When I was pregnant with my first daughter Sienna, I wanted to buy baby clothes that were traditional and different to the everyday high street shop," she said.

"Having sourced the type of clothes I wanted, I found beautiful makes of Spanish children's clothes and this led me to research other designers including Portuguese and French as well as traditional British brands.

"However I was frustrated that I couldn't buy any of these clothes locally. Because of this I decided to start a business myself selling quality, traditional clothing right in the heart of the Cotswolds.

"I contacted the suppliers and they confirmed that their brands were not being sold locally and were delighted to supply me.

"From there I set up Dulcie Children's Boutique Facebook page. We already have 6,800 likes which is fantastic in the short amount of time that we have been established," said Chloe.

The next step was to find somewhere to trade from and so began the search for the right shop. Chloe spent a lot of time looking for premises in Cheltenham and eventually the perfect spot popped up.

"As we are not your everyday high street store I didn't want to be on the high street.

"I am eternally grateful to my mum and dad for finding the perfect premises in Montpellier Courtyard.

"One viewing later and I knew it was going to perfect – I was so lucky that it's in such a beautiful part of Cheltenham. We took over the lease in August and my partner Scott and my father-in-law Bob, fitted the whole shop out for me, creating a chic children's boutique."

Since the store opened, Chloe and her mum have worked tirelessly to provide customers with the perfect shopping experience with unrivalled customer support.

They have secured a unique range of children's clothes at sensible prices to cater for everyone.

"We have a price range that caters for all of our customers and as well has children's clothes, we sell bows, socks, shoes, wellies, baby changing bags, Cosy Toes to name just a few of our products," said Chloe.

Her passion for her business and customer service is evident and with Christmas approaching she's excited about the new ranges coming into the shop.

"Our winter collection is now in store and includes beautiful girls and boys' coats, traditional smocked dresses, boys' jumper and trouser sets all perfect for those Christmas Day outfits.

"Children's Christmas outfits are so special because of the memories created when they are worn.

"It's a real privilege for me as a parent and as a business owner to help other families find that special dress or that warm and cosy coat that their children will cherish and enjoy wearing."

It's not all about Christmas for Chloe at the moment though; she and her mum are also preparing for 2016.

"Next year will be a really exciting time for us," said Chloe. "We are extending our current ranges and adding new ones as we will be stocking clothes for children up to 12 years old.

"Before, our range went from premature to 10 years but now, through popular demand from our customers, we are extending the range to 12 years.

"Not only that, we have taken on some boys-only brands which is great as it still seems difficult to find good quality boys' clothing these days.

"The new collections are set to arrive in time for spring-summer and we are really looking forward to that."

Chloe and her family have created a wonderful shop in Montpellier. The children's clothing they offer is delightful and provides their customers with an increasingly rare combination of excellent quality, faultless customer service and brilliant value for money.
