Are you planning for a camping trip? Have you packed up your bag? Packed food items, tent, campsite equipments, clothes, cooking items, entertainment item have you packed them all? Have you checked the extra pair of camcorder batteries, charged them fully and packed them with your camcorder too? Of course you have, after all you are going to relive the experience a hundred times after the camping is done by watching this recording again and again and fully charged spare batteries ensure that you would not miss any moment due to exhausted batteries.

What to do when you are starting for an outdoor trip?

  • Buy extra pair of batteries- When you are shopping for the important items you are going to carry with you during the trip, buy an extra pair of batteries for your camcorder as well. You may find a wide variety of options in it and cheaper option may tempt you but we will suggest you
buy camcorder batteries of good quality only. These batteries last for longer time and are healthy for your device as well.
  • Charge the batteries fully- Before starting for your trip make sure that the batteries of your gadget are fully charged. You need to charge the spare set of batteries along with the original one as well because you might not get chance to charge them during the trip.

How to keep device and its batteries safe during the trip?

  • Keep the camcorder and the batteries covered- Moisture and excess heat both are harmful for any electronic device and hence you need to keep your gadget safe from these. Moisture causes chemical reaction in chemicals and deteriorates the metal and hence is very harmful for your camcorder as well as its batteries. And therefore you should pack them inside a weatherproof bag during the trip. In contact of excess heat a battery may blast and hence you should never let the battery or the device come in contact with it.
  • Buy BCB batteries- Buy BCB camcorder batteries as these are healthy for your device. BCB is a technique that does not let the unwanted power flow towards the device and hence keeps it safe.
  • Put them back after use- It is important to pack the batteries and the device back in the cover separately when you are not using them for a longer time. When you are on some outdoor trip storing the batteries out of device in its bag helps in saving the power. So never leave the batteries in the camcorder if you are not going to shoot very soon.

What you should not do?

  • Never overcharge- Most of the time people try to overcharge the batteries in attempt to store more power in it which is impossible. A battery has a certain capacity to store the power and it cannot store more power than its capacity. Overcharging only harms the battery and reduces its life. Besides
Bcb won’t let the excess power flow into the device and hence the attempt will be completely waste of time.
  • Never buy cheaper options- When it comes to buy an extra pair of batteries for your device most of the people do not take quality so seriously. But buying a cheaper battery may sometimes cause a major damage to your gadget. The life of these batteries is also not very long and they are likely to die much early. Rather than making frequent purchase of cheaper batteries, buying a good quality battery for one time is a more logical option for you. It is always advisable that you buy batteries or as a matter of fact any spare part for your camcorder of the recommended brand meant for your camcorder model.
Never dump the batteries carelessly- Do not throw batteries in source of water or in fire. Some might be less harmful in comparison to others but camcorder batteries are never environment friendly. So do not dump them carelessly.
