Same goes withthe apparel that marrying couples wearOne example is the Nigerian weddings in villages. Thebride usually wears long, colorful wedding dress that reaches the ground. It iscommonly paired with headdresses, along with unique necklaces and othermatching jewelries. Groom's apparel looks like long robes, while others wearloose-fitting shirts, pairing it with trousers. Female attendees' get up is a full length bridesmaid dresses, and similar to the bride, the groom and the maid ofhonors also have necklaces and headdresses.Weddings in the urban area are also different. Westernculture has influenced their wedding traditions. Their wedding apparels aresimilar on a typical wedding dress you see in the western countries. For male, they were clothed with a dress called mul anduma. Mulanduma is pretty difficult to wear, since it composes a lot of inside-clothes.In the upper part of the body, is a jacket with a budging sleeve. Its sleeveextends up to the elbow. In the lower part, a white trouser is draped over by a100 yards long cloth called kavaniya. It is worn covering the chest part andextends up to the ankles. They match it with a four-cornered head cover with asmall tree-like object at the top of itBride's clothing is called saria, a full length weddingdress, designed with pearls and beads. Its sleeves extend up to the elbow, andthey also wear nalalpata, an ornament in the head worn by woman, paired withnecklaces.All that being said, different culture engraved in everycountry made us different matrimony costumes. Each has its own unique andwonderful clothes. And whatever your wed costume is, the true essence ofmarriage should not vanish.
