Liposonix treatment provides a non-surgical method of reducing layers of fat from around the waistline and abdomen area. It is a treatment method recommended for persons with an average fat layer. It specifically targets stubborn fat deposits in selected areas such as the waist and stomach.

Don’t worry your mind and waste your time wishing to go back in time when your waistline was still trim and shapely. Cosmetic surgery and advancing cosmetic technology present an array of treatment options that is the answer to slimming down on stubborn layers of fat. While some options require surgery, there are other treatment options based on technological innovations that present fat reduction treatments without surgery or invasive procedures. Liposonix is a non-surgical way to remove stubborn fat from selected areas and specifically from around the waist. This method of fat removal uses a specialized technology called high-intensity focused ultrasound or HIFU which is an ultrasound energy that is concentrated to the fat layer about one to two centimeters below the skin’s surface. The ultrasound energy breaks down the fat cells and reduces as much as one and half inches of fat layer around the waist after an hour long treatment.

It is said that anyone irrespective of being male or female can be an eligible candidate for Liposonix treatment. This treatment is best suited for removal of fat around the waistline, abdomen area, and in some instances, around the love handles. The difference between getting a liposuction surgical fat removal treatment and a Liposonix treatment is based on the body mass index or BMI of a person. Those with a BMI of 30 or less are eligible for a Liposonix treatment whereas liposuction is recommended for candidates with a BMI of 30 and above. Persons with only a layer of fat less than an inch around the abdomen and waist are not advised to go for this treatment but to use natural exercise and diet.

For anyone worrying about possible side effects of Liposonix treatment, the good news is that that there is mild or no side effects from this treatment. The most common side effects are mild swelling, redness and bruising, of which the latter is known to recede in about two weeks. It is recommended to wear spandex garments after treatment to help reduce the swelling, which will generally diminish in two to three days. Moreover, the redness from treatment is the quickest to resolve in a few hours.

The total cost for a Liposonix treatment can range between 1000 to 1800 dollars on average.
