The meditation teacher training courses in India include plenty of methods for different types of students. There are serious students who are only interested in Bhakti Yoga, taught by authorized acharyas of the tradition. Those would be the followers of A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, a pure devotee of Sri Krishna and Sri Chaitanya Maha Prabhu. The teachings are of the Bhagavad-Gita, As It Is, the Srimad Bhagavatam, and the Sri Chaitanya Charitamrta.
The books were written by pure devotees of Lord Krishna in pure love and devotion in the Vedas, to teach the masses the science of love of Godhead and how to get out of nescience of the material world. The method of meditation is both simple and sublime and involve the chanting in a pure state of mind of the Maha Mantra: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna, Krishna, Hare Hare. Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. The ultimate liberation is achieved by chanting this mantra in a humble state of mind, purely. It is a request of the reciter: "Oh energy of the Lord Krishna, please engage me in your devotional service."
The teachings also inspire and explain how meditation also involves all thought processes that engage the senses in purely performing dharma yoga, duty that is meant to serve the Lord. One such service is teaching others about bhakit yoga and offering a lifetime of service to the Lord Krishna through the pure devotee so that in the next lifetime there will no birth, death disease and old age in the material world, but rather birth in the pastimes of Lord Krishna in the spiritual world. The entire lifestyle requires being a vegetarian, no eating meat, fish or eggs, no gambling, no illicit sex and no mental speculation.
Other levels of meditation are also taught in a wide variety of schools of thought in India. There are the personalists and the impersonalists schools of thought to put it in a nutshell. The goal is pure in that the mind must be freed from material thought. The differences are also distinct in the results. To attain freedom of the mind or mukti, meditation is performed, however, the impersonalists mantras that focus the mind on the brahman, will only achieve temporary results. Those who are attracted to that brahajyoti, will eventually fall down again into the material pool. Those who are attracted to the personal or Godhead, will attain perfection and advance to eternal bliss and knowledge in transcendental bhakti yoga or devotional service.
There are many varieties of purifying schools of meditation in India to enroll in. These will offer instruction and a lifestyle to teach others. These schools offer liberation in various forms and have a broad following for interested souls in meditation teacher training courses in India. These schools will often charge a fee to teach their method. The schools that teach pure bhakti yoga will not charge a fee, however, will recommend renunciation of material commitments and full time study to attain the level of a teacher
