Brimming with naturally gifted sceneries, Coorg is an ideal place to spend some days away in the lap of nature with an exotic experience. There are many hotels and resorts in Coorg which offer exceptionally good facilities and views from their premises to make their guests feel comfortable and get rejuvenated. From budget inns to luxurious resorts, Coorg is a trove of options. One can also consider the very trending Oyo rooms in coorg which, apparently have tourists from near and far raving about them.

Sights and Spots

Aptly touted as the "Kashmir of South India" by the locals, Coorg has a host of spots that facilitate spectacular sights of the lush green mountains adorned with clouds, and waterfalls at some spots. Some of the most popular spots in Coorg are:

  1. Iruppu Falls - Gushing with milky white water, the view of this sight is just breathtaking. Even the drive to these falls is as mesmerizing, but one needs to park at a dedicated spot, trek a bit, and then reach the Iruppu Falls. There are some really good Oyo Rooms in Coorg located around this spot, so one can even go for them to enjoy the view constantly.

  1. Tibetan Monastery - This Golden Temple is a divine haven and is situated in a Tibetan settlement which is the second largest outside Tibet. The most attractive part about the monastery are the 40 ft. tall Buddha statues, the colorful interiors, and the pretty little shopping centre outside the temple complex that sells Tibetan goodies. Must visit place!

  1. Kotebetta - This place offers such a breathtaking panorama of the western ghats, that it has been touted as the "Scotland of India" point by some tourists. Go for some blissful time. Ideal for shutterbugs!

  1. Thadiyandamol Hills - If trekking is what one is looking for, then this is the right spot. One can even camp at the summit, but only after 6 pm. Be prepared to lose a breath or two!

Since Coorg oozes natural goodness, do not forget to take home a pack of freshly grown coffee and spices from Coorg to have an experience of having something good "straight from the horse’s mouth!"
