Today, the 19 Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are undoubtedly the best B-schools in the country and counted among apex institutions across the globe. Moreover every MBA aspirant dreams of studying at one of the IIMs, therefore they also stand at the number one spot when it comes to popularity.

Amid all the attention to IIMs, aspirants mostly ignore a premier B-school – Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) Delhi. It is one of the top B-schools in the country that accepts admission through CAT and is known for its quality faculty and record breaking placements.

Placements and faculty are certainly two of the factors to for the B-school, but one of the reasons that appeal to aspirants the most is that life is much more chilled out and easy when studying at FMS Delhi. Here’s how:

  • No financial stress

With a nominal fee structure that FMS charges for its MBA programme, students don’t have to worry about paying a six figure fee and repaying the loan amount like in the case of studying at the IIMs. They have a mental relief of studying at one of the best B-schools that charges comparatively very low fees.

  • Experience of DU life

Since the campus is very close to Delhi University colleges, students get to experience the "DU life" which is all about relaxing and hanging out at Kamla Nagar and its mouth watering food joints.

  • Ideal Sex Ratio

Unlike the IIMs where boys form a larger percentage of the batch, FMS usually has a better sex ratio.

  • Good Places to hang out

The college is located close to civil lines where there are plenty of options to shop, party or hang out, which is not the case with many IIMs in particular IIM Calcutta.

  • Placements

The campus placement drive witnesses participation of many sought after companies. Most deserving students are offered with dream packages and therefore the ROI is pretty decent.

FMS Delhi accepts admissions only through CAT. Those who aim to study at the B-school must appear and crack the exam. This year the exam is going to be held on November 29, 2015, while the result is expected to be declared in the second week of January 2016.
