Computer Application: A Course for Today and Tomorrow!

With the advent of privatisation in the 90s decade, there was a boom in the technology sector. Since then, there is a great demand of Computer graduates across all the sectors and industries. Every year thousands of job opportunities are available to the students who have their specialisation in Information and Technology domain. Thus, the Computer courses offer a promising future to all the graduates. Keeping in mind the industry scenario, Jodhpur National University is also offering Computer Application courses under its undergraduate and Post graduate programmes.
The curriculum is designed in such a way so as to provide not just the theoretical knowledge but a practical exposure all well to all the students.
The teaching pedagogy involves the following:
- Classroom teaching through lectures,
- Practical work in Labs,
- Projects on live problems and
- Seminars covering latest technical knowledge
- Lectures by In-house faculty as well as Visiting/ Guest Faculty
- Experts from industry other educational centres regularly visit the campus to share their knowledge with the students
Following are the Undergraduate and PG courses offered by the University:
Courses
- BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) – 3 Years
- PGDCA (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications) – 1 Year
- MCA (Master in Computer Applications) – 3 Years
- BCA+MCA (5 years), Integrated Course
- BCA+MBA(4years+training),IntegratedCourse
Admission Process
Eligibility for Admission to:
- BCA( 3 Years),
- BCA+MCA (5 years Integrated Course)
Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with 45% marks and above in aggregate in any stream/discipline from a recognized Board/University.
- PGDCA/MCA: A candidate seeking admission to Master in Computer Application (MCA) should have three years Bachelor Degree (or Equivalent) in any discipline or an examination by any recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
- The candidate who has cleared GATE exam will be given preference at the time of admission.
