Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute Management – Admissions 2016 & Courses

Delhi encompasses a wide range of B-schools and for MBA aspirants it is undoubtedly one of the desired study locations today. After the completion of CAT 2015, knowing about the colleges accepting CAT scores and their admission criteria becomes crucial.

Lal Bahadur Shastri is one of the CAT accepting B-schools in Delhi that management aspirants must know about. It is located in Dwarka and was establised in 1995. The institute is recognized by AICTE and offers the following management programs:

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management (General)- Full-Time
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Finance)- Full-Time
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Executive)- Full-Time
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Part Time

The minimum eligibilty to opt for the above mentioned courses is that a candidate should have completed graduation with atleast 50% or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university or institute. Whereas the admission procedure defined by Lbsim can be broadly split into three steps:

  • Register and Appear for the CAT Examination. All candidates who wish to study at the institute must have taken CAT exam
  • Apart from registering for CAT, one must also register with the institute separately. The application form will be given with the information brochure, candiates can register themselves from 11 th to 22nd October, 2015.
  • Aspirants shorlisted on the basis of CAT scores will be called for further rounds - Group Discussion, Extempore, Work Experience and Interview. One must clear all these rounds for selection in the institute.

The GD and Personal Interview rounds will be held in the last week of February, 2016. While the announcement of final result and release of admission list is scheduled fir first week of April, 2016. The closing date of admission is 10th May, 2016.

Furhtermore the allocation of seats is as below:

PGDM – General, Approved Intake: 180

PGDM – Finance, Approved Intake: 60

PGDM - Part time, Approved Intake: 60

PGDM – Executive, Approved Intake: 60
