Steps for taking the perfect measurement of tutu dress

1.Take the measurement of child
With the help of measuring tape, take the measurement of child’s chest from the below of armpits. After taking the measurement reduces 2 inches from the actual measurement because you have to put here elastic.
2.Take the measurement of waist
Measure the waist of child by using same measuring tape and reduces 2 inches from the actual measurement. In the waist you have to put waistband of your dress.
3.Elastic cutting with the measured size
Take the elastic which has the width of approximately ½ to ¾ inches and then make the cutting of elasticity according to the measurement of the chest and waist you have taken with the measuring tape.
4.Join the ends of the elastic

5.Bought some spools of tulle
For making the tutu dress with the perfect size, buy tulle sold by spool having the width of approximately 6 inches. You can purchase it from any of the arts and craft shops and will get variety of colors in this. It also comes in glittered patterns like wavy lines, dots and swirls.
For the short or baby dress you require two or three spools of tulle and for the longer dress you require three of four spools of tulle.
6.Take the length of the dress
With the help of measuring dress, measures the length of the dress from the armpit to the downside where you want to end the length of dress and add the 3 to 4 inches to the actual measurement because when you tie it to the elastic tulle will poof up and make it shorter.
7.Take the cardboard with same size of the length of dress
Find out the cardboard, baking sheet, picture frame or anything else which is easily available to you. It should be in the same length of the dress and thickness should be lowest.
8.Wrap up the board with tulle
Start the wrapping of the board from the bottom edge cy the tulle and do this until the entire spool used up.
9.Cutting of the tulle
With the help of scissor cut the tulle along with the bottom edge of the board. Cut only one side of tulle. The length of the each strip of tulle should be twice the length of your dress.
