Madhya Pradesh: An Education Centre of Central India

In the last 20 years we have witnessed a drastic change in the education scenario of the country. Along with the whole country Madhya Pradesh has also successfully advanced in the field of education with several emerging government and private colleges.

Universities:

The state has 2 central universities, 16 state universities, and 3 deemed universities along with few gems of education fraternity - IIT, NIT and IIM.

The leading universities include Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalay, Jiwaji University, Rani Durgawati University, Barkatulla University and Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University.

Engineering education in Madhya Pradesh:

The state has 4 central government institutions, 6 state government institutions, 40 Private colleges, 4 government aided institutions and 8 Self financing institutions. All these institutes have developed skilful engineers that are serving reputed government, national and multinational companies or running their own business.

Medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh:

The state has 6 government medical colleges and several private colleges in the state spread across various districts. These colleges are providing skilled doctors in the fields of cardio, neuro, gastro, nephro, ortho, paediatric, dental, homeopathy, ayurved, unani, physiotherapy and other fields of medicine.

Business schools in Madhya Pradesh:

There are 20 business schools and several colleges offering management courses in Madhya Pradesh including Indian Institute of management, Indore. With the growing affinity of youth towards managerial profiles there has been a hike in the number of educational institutes offering graduate, post graduate degrees and diploma in management.

Madhya Pradesh has become the education centre of central India with cities like Indore and Bhopal that offer several educational courses running in various educational institutes. Talking about Indore it has the highest number of colleges in Madhya Pradesh with all the top colleges in Indore. It is a sought after place for aspiring engineers, managers, doctors, pathologists, dentists, architects, fashion designers, interior designers, scientists, professors, advertisers, journalists, actors, accountants, librarians, and the list is endless.

The best thing about Madhya Pradesh is that it is centrally located and attracts students from all neighbouring states like Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh. It has become a great source of revenue generation for the state along with emerging as a powerful education centre.

Compared to other states in the country Madhya Pradesh is an economical option with an array of excellent educational institutes. So it seems to be a great deal at getting superb education in renowned institutes with a modest fee structure, lodging and catering facilities. Cities like Bhopal and Indore have various hostels and tiffin centres which have evolved in response to the growing needs of students, they provide great service at affordable prices.

Education is the basic need of every individual and government of Madhya Pradesh is trying its level best along with Department of Higher Education to raise the level of education in the state and make the necessary fortunes available to young students.

There are MBA colleges & engineering colleges in Indore which are rated among the top 50 management & technical colleges in the country. The feathers in the cap are Indian Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Management and Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology which are amongst the top 10.
