The World’s Most Printhead Friendly Ink

Blueprint a producer of printer ink, photo paper and toner cartridges broke a new printing record on 18th October 2013.

Blueprint successfully printed 36,100 pages of text from a single printer unit at an Indonesian computer exhibition, Yogyakomtek. The figure is higher than the previous record held by Epson Indonesia of 30,160 pages in 2012. Figures and procedures were witnessed and certified by the same record keeping organization MURI (Museum Rekor Dunia Indonesia).

This achievement is a milestone not only the highest in Indonesia, but most likely the highest in the world. Based on updated Google search, no other organization in the world has been known to keep record and published a printing endurance of a printer’s printhead.

Besides that, PT Epson Indonesia also held 2 MURI records of 22,022 pages in 2010 and 30,160 pages in 2012 refers that MURI records are prides to behold by world class printer manufacturer.

To date, Blueprint holds highest printing record in 2 classes of different printhead techonology ie. BUBBLE JET and PIEZZO

Records maintained by MURI are as follows

2009 – BLUEPRINT – 18,000 pages using BUBBLE JET printer CANON IP1880

2010 – PT EPSON INDONESIA – 22,022 pages using PIEZZO printer EPSON L100

2012 – PT EPSON INDONESIA – 30,160 pages using PIEZZO printer EPSON L350

2013 – BLUEPRINT – 36,100 pages using PIEZZO printer EPSON L110.

The record breaking process stared in early august 2013. The printer used were EPSON L110. The standard template consists of a full page of text that are re-iterated thoughout the whole page plus a simple graphic. Printers were operated every workday and were able to print around 2000 pages per day. The whole process was video streamed LIVE at www.blueprint-indonesia.com

Total printer ink usage is 3 bottles of 100 ml each for Cyan, Magenta and Yellow and 9 bottles of black colour. Printing cost are 18 bottles x us$3.5 totals us$63.- devided by 36,100 pages = us$0.0018 or 18 cent per 100 pages.

Printhead depreciation was not calculated because at the end of 36,100 pages, printhead was still in perfect condition.

In desktop printing industry, a printhead is said to be perfect condition if and only if it print without white lines. White lines are indication of a clogged printhead in one or more of its nozzle. The length of time and productivity of a printhead to maintain a perfect printing condition is based on the amount and size of the residue (salt minerals) inside the ink used.

Blueprint used APV balance technology to reduce ink from clogging and minimizes corrosion at the printhead.

This MURI record proves that Blueprint is safe to use, printhead friendly and comparable head to head with original printer manufactures’ ink.

Exhibit of the printed paper are kept at the MURI museum in Semarang, central java.

10 Sept 2013: 09:42 Printer is sent off to city of yogya where exbition was planned.

14 Sept 2013: 09:00 Printer arrived at JEC (Jogja Exhibition Centre) and resume printing.

18 Sept 2013: 11:20 Printing stopped at 36,464 pages (printhead in perfect condition, way passed the 36,100 targetted)

18 sept 2013: 19:10 the newest MURI Award was bestowed by MR Paulus Pangka to Blueprint at the final day of the Yogyakomtek exhibition
