When you do yoga, it is essential for you to know all its benefits. For instance, yoga helps you become sensitive and gain self-trust. Self-trust means we have the confidence necessary to follow through and pursue things that feel right. This is very important. It means that we can now openly trust ourselves to pursue what is attractive to us and avoid what isn't. Until now, this is exactly what has gotten us into so much trouble. We've pursued things and situations we found attractive and have ended up paying for it, in one way or another. And we have thereby learned not to trust ourselves. It makes sense not to trust if it keeps getting us into trouble, and pretty soon this mistrust feels normal. With the cultivation of sensitivity, however, our likes and dislikes change. We discover that what now attracts us is in our best interest. We can therefore safely allow ourselves to pursue what attracts us, what we like. We can trust ourselves to trust ourselves. It's no longer dangerous, but safe and smart. And it's fulfilling. It makes us happy. Of course, what we are really learning is that self-trust is the most intimate way of expressing our trust in God and the universe. We are not a separate creation, remember, and we did not create ourselves. Trusting ourselves, therefore, is actually trusting in the intelligence of the Creator who made us. It is our personal demonstration of our trust in the universe and Infinite Mind, and our confidence is well reinforced because of our ever-increasing sensitivity. This basic self-trust is the foundation of all yoga and the prevailing quality of those who have learned to be their own best teachers. Yet another beautiful quality that we gain after performing yoga is the quality of love. Loving thoughts feel good and unloving thoughts feel bad. Unloving thoughts are like self-inflicted poison darts, whereas loving thoughts are the natural response to reality when it is clearly perceived. This simple understanding initiates a natural change of mind that culminates in the primary and most important theme of yoga: learning to love and be loved.

You might be wondering why I am emphasizing so much on yoga and its qualities. This is because all this is true. Try yoga and you will experience all this by yourself. Also, buy yoga pants before you start doing yoga so that you can be at your best in your yoga class.
