"Entrepreneurship is about solving a problem, not starting a company", says 25-year-old entrepreneur Ankur Jain. This alone speaks to us about the prodigious working of his young entrepreneurial mind.

Ankur Jain founded Kairos Society, a non-profit company, along with his other Wharton undergraduate business school batch mates in 2008. He was just 19 years old then. He is working to figure out global challenges and bring powerful social impact by influencing innovation and business.

Son of Naveen Jain, the CEO of data company Intelius and Anu Jain, Ankur is not new to entrepreneurship. At the age of 12, he had his own website catering to teen consumers and earned about 200$ monthly from his websites. Nine years later, his previous experience had helped him in the founding of Kairos Society.

Kairos Society is a non- profit company which aims to aid young entrepreneurs all over the world and bring about powerful changes globally by giving wings to their highly impactful and innovative ideas. It is a network of highly motivated college entrepreneurs striving to revolutionize the world.

Currently, Kairos has helped launch 150 companies and brought together bright young college entrepreneurs from over 55 countries to their high-network community. Kairos Society has some notable start-ups under its wings - SmartDeco, which makes foldable furniture from recyclable materials; ThinkLite, which provides energy-efficient lighting and helps in cost-cutting, to name a few. This society is not just limited to companies that can rope in the big bucks. Consider Moneythink, a non-profit organization run by undergraduates that educates high school students on financial matters, which is also a part of the society.

Ankur Jain has many accomplishments and awards under his belt. His stint at Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania provided him with valuable experience and a strong network. Inc Magazine named him "30 Under 30? and the "Best Connected 21-Year-Old in the World" in 2011 (also the year of his graduation). He was selected as one of eighty students (out of 1,800) to participate in the prestigious Singularity University Summer Program, an interdisciplinary program based at the NASA Ames campus in Silicon Valley. He has also worked as an intern for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, spent a summer working in Hong Kong as an analyst for AEA Private Equity, and worked in business development for Intelius, his father’s company.

Ankur Jain firmly believes that the present generation can alone pave the way for next generation of brilliant innovators. He considers himself to be very optimistic about the future for he believes innovation knows no bounds and there will brilliant innovators always. He has handed over the reins of Kairos Society to Alex Fiance who is the acting global president of the society. He is now concentrating on Panijia, his company that aims to bring innovative technologies to tackle global challenges into the new markets.

If you too have entrepreneurial dreams or wish to have a venture like the ones listed above, you need to have faith in your Chatur Idea. You will always wonder who will fund this idea and from where will you find investors. In that case, you can participate in the #BeAChatur Contest and not only be mentored, but also stand a chance to win a whopping Rs.10 Lac funding for your dream startup idea.
