One if the biggest thing that has happened in the world of internet more than a decade ago is the launch of Facebook. This is not only the fastest growing website in all these year but it has created a powerful identity in the world of top digital marketing agency in India as well as across the world. This online giant was only meant to connect people, but taking over Instagram and WhatsApp that we used to expect only from the biggest player in the market.
Additionally, Facebook is a big word for the top digital marketing agency in India and in the other parts of the world. Also, it’s a good place for the marketers, publishers and advertisers.
Let’s take a look how this new born baby has entered in the beginning of its teenage.
2004: Launch
Facebook was launched by Mark Zuckerberg with three other founders in a dorm room. Many of us are aware about the story.

2009 increase in the number of users
In 2009, the numbers of user were increased by 250 million and the like button was also introduced.
2010 More users and privacy
2010 doubled the number of users and crossed over 500 million users. Additionally, the privacy feature of the website was also launched.
2011 Value of the website increases
A movie related to the rise of Facebook was released and also in the same year the value of the website reached $50 Billion. Also, Facebook introduced Timeline replacing the wall for its users.
2012 taking over Instagram
Facebook decided to buy Instagram and paid $ 1 Billion. Since then Instagram is rising incredibly. Also the number of Facebook users hit a billion.
2013 Launch of Internet.org
This year Facebook announced the new proposition called Internet.org along with 6 other well-known companies. The basic aim is to connect the world specially the two thirds of the world that are not yet connected. Basically, expansion of Facebook isn’t it?
2014-2015 Launch of Newswire
This tool is launched to provide a better publisher experience to its users. This feature includes quality journalism and the instant articles will include auto video play, interactive maps and listening to audio captions. Facebook also took over WhatsApp in 2014.
2016 looking forward for a better future
There is a significant increase in the number of Facebook users and the growth of Advertising on Facebook is taking this social media giant at a new level. People are getting in touch with digital marketing agency and in other countries just to sell their products and services on this platform where they can meet and reach the right audience at a right time. Apparently, Facebook has a better future ahead in all the aspects.
