Geoff Tate was born as Jeffrey Wayne Tate on 14th of January 1959. He then altered his first name to Geoffery or Geoffrey. He is an American singer and musician who was born in Gemany and rose to recognition in the 1980s with the advanced metal band Queensrÿche. You will be surprised to know that Tate is positioned at number 14 on Hit Parader's list of the Best Metal Vocalists of All Time. He was elected No. 2 on That Metal Show's best 5 hard rock singers of the 1980s. In the year 2012, he accomplished the Vegas Rocks Magazine Award for "Voice in Progressive Heavy Metal".
