Fragile items like glass, electronics also needed some material which was neither bulky nor space occupying. Fine plastic sheets are air filled to create blisters which is an excellent shock deadener. The young and the old cannot deny the fun it gives to puncture these blisters from the used sheets.

The advent of plastic packaging has been the reason for the e-commerce to boost. The packaged item does not attract an extra weight than the product. Another major advantage is that items packaged become water proof due to the inherent quality of the material. The lightness of the material makes transporting through air or sea cheaper as more quantity can be transported at the same cost. Plastic has another major advantage is its re-usability. They can be washed and stored to be used later and does not give a worn look if proper care is taken.
