For many years there are all sorts of myths around how much calcium do women need. As soon as women reach middle age they start looking answers for all kinds of questions like, how much calcium do they really need? Supplements are really useful or not? Does aging will require more calcium to make bones stronger?
Worry not you are not alone who face troubles finding the answer. It is indeed necessary to have appropriate levels of calcium in your body irrespective of your gender, for women it is more so. Vitamin D is the actual vitamin that helps body to absorb calcium. You need to have appropriate Vitamin D in your body as well to boost calcium.
What stats say?

How to maintain the dosage?

It is better to go for foods that have high concentration of calcium like orange juice and cereals but still you won’t be able to get full 1,200 milligrams most days.
Supplementation
You can get the required calcium dosage from supplements as well but the problem is high intake of supplementary calcium can harm body as well. Try milk which is fortified source of vitamin D. Also ample amount of sunlight exposure can help body to produce much needed vitamin D.
