The Korean giants, Hyundai, have been popular in the Indian automobile segment and have been giving competition to the giants, Maruti Suzuki. Catering to the needs of the Indian customer, they have been making vehicles of all sizes and variants. Their Creta Automatic is the SUV, which, as the name suggests, is fitted with automatic transmission, making it very interesting.

The Creta is available in 7 colors and its automatic variant, named Hyundai Creta 1.6 CRDI at SX Plus, and costs 13.80 lakhs.

Engine specifications

The engine of the Creta 1.6 CRDI at SX Plus has a displacement of 1582 cc and the fuel used is diesel, for its 4 cylinder-16 valve powerful mill, giving out a mileage of 17.01 km/l. The peak power produced from this engine is 128 ps and the top torque is 260 Nm. The front and back tires have ventilated disc and drum brakes respectively. Interior

The cabin of the Creta automatic is plush, spelling luxury, with its electric power steering. The wheelbase of 2590 mm makes it easy for 5 adults to sit comfortably. Power windows are made available for the front and back and the upholstery of the seats is made of the finest quality fabric. The central instrument console is a combination of analog and digital. Sun-visor and air-bags, are available for the front seats. The boot capacity is a massive 475 liters with both the boot and fuel tank lids being opened, internally. Various other comfort features like touch-screen navigation system, both row AC vents, adjustable headrests for all seats, two 12v power outlets, FM Radio, Bluetooth, CD/DVD player, cup holders and door pockets for both front and back and keyless entry system, are all available in this SUV. Some of the driver-friendly features included in the Creta are gear indicator, average speed, trip meter, headlight reminder, low fuel warning, analog tachometer and speedometer, digital odometer and fuel gauge, all of which are fitted onto the central instrument console. Parking assistance is provided, through camera with rear sensors. The length of the Creta is 4270 mm, width is 1780 mm and height is a good 1630mm, implying the ample head, leg and shoulder room.

Exterior

Due to its length, width and height, the Creta does appear formidable, when compared to its competitors. The bonnet is long and just below, is a three-slat chrome radiator grille which is attached to the body colored bumper. The grille is flanked by powerful projector headlights and daytime running LED lights. Rear defogger and wiper, along with roof rails, adds to the masculinity of the SUV.
