Don't get carried away thinking that building muscle and fitness is hard to understand, it isn't, but you do need to be educated about the right and wrong ways to do things. This is important so that you don't injure yourself, but also so that you don't waste your time with some ineffective program that will not deliver the results that you want.

There is a lot of information on the internet about Fixx Shake building muscle and fitness, much of it is generic in nature, and doesn't have enough information to help you, or is just plain wrong. This article will give you the overall process - this isn't meant to be a whole program in one article - and you can slot in the exercises you enjoy, some of the meals you like, or take some information from site and use that.

So that we're clear - there isn't any magic cure that will build you muscles and burn fat without effort. You are going to have to put the effort in, and if you do, you will get the results that you are looking for. Please stop looking for quick ways out - now!

To get a noticeable overall effect, you need to target your body fat percentage, as well as build muscle. For most people, it means losing excess body fat, and the lucky few it means eating enough to put on muscle. The basic idea is that you need to consume enough calories to be at your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) plus about five hundred calories - the extra is required to build muscle. If you eat good quality foods, such as beef, pork, chicken and fish, so long as it is lean. You can make up the calories you require mostly from the calories you consume, but a little can come from your body fat - not too much otherwise your body will try to hold on to the fat (it will think you are starving!) One of the biggest parts to building lean muscle and fitness, and getting 6-pack abs is that you must diet properly, if you party all the time, you're not going to achieve your potential.

When you start to build lean muscle and fitness, it is likely that you will not have much of either, and therefore it is important to build a good base of both muscle and fitness on which to improve. This base should be a useful, or functional strength, and muscle mass that you may then build muscle strength and density, and increase your metabolic rate to burn more calories. This Fixx Shake first stage, you are likely to see results very quickly, and you are likely to notice an increase is your muscle size, although the muscle will be rounded and not very well define at that stage, your body fat percentage may have reduce a bit but that real gain in that area are yet to come.

As stated, you will want to target muscle strength and density during your next stage, building further on your muscle mass and metabolic rate, and working through yet more intense workouts to challenge your body and force you muscle to grow.

Now that your body is stronger and fitter than before, you will now be able to lift heavier weight much more safely, have a higher cardiovascular threshold, and much more energy to complete much higher intensity exercises. You should aim to keep workouts short, and through the increased intensity be capable of burning much higher amounts of calories both during and after the workout. If you wish to do cardiovascular training specifically, to improve your cardiovascular fitness for a particular sporting purpose you can, but it is not necessary, and is ineffective for any other purpose.

It is now time to target the Fixx Shake burning of belly fat as you build your core muscles, and continue to build on your muscle strength, mass and increase you metabolic rate from your previous work. Belly fat can be targeted by building more muscle near the site of the fat. Since muscle already requires body fat for muscle growth in other areas of the body, it stands to reason that the extra muscle around the abdominal area, and core will target the use of body fat in a closer proximity, especially when there is a demand on the fat in other areas. It is important to note that you cannot start by just doing core exercises, and expect this to work, it will not. As part of this stage, to prevent your training from reaching a plateau, you should shock your muscles by challenging them in different ways, to force growth, and continue your results.

You final stage will be to blast away the last bit of body fat - the really hard to get rid of part that will really add that final bit of definition to you muscles, and make your six-pack abdominals stand out. You would use High Intensity Interval Training, HIIT, to achieve this. HIIT is incredibly challenging, but you have built up some good muscle and fitness by now, and will be able to rise to the challenge. Whilst the exercise is challenging, HIIT will work wonders to strip away the final bit of body fat, due to the insanely high intensity of these workouts, it will also massively increase your athleticism.
