UAE Storms to Asia Cup T20 - And War Continues

An all round performance helped United Arab Emirates emerged victorious in Asia Cup T20 qualifier matches for the first time in eight years after they beat Oman convincingly by 71 runs in Decca on 22nd of February. They have won all the three matches to top the point table.

Sultan Ahmed's decision to field first did not seem well as an 86 runs partnership between Kaleem and Shahzad laid a strong foundation for their team. Aamir Kaleem tried to bring his team back in the game but Usman's 46 runs innings helped UAE to post a formidable score.

With 172 to chase, Oman's batting line up cracked easily under pressure. Zeeshan Maqsood put up a severe resistance as Qadeer Ahmed and Mohammad Naveed destroyed the top and middle order battle line up.
