In the olden days there was only one way to eliminate darkness by lighting fire. Early man discovered fire by rubbing two stones against each other and the spark that used to come out was used to heat, burn and eliminate darkness. The times change and with more and more of scientific discoveries Benjamin Franklin discovered electricity and since then every day new discoveries kept happening in the related field. The invention of electric bulbs is done by Thomas Edison, the man who illuminated the world. The bulb is nothing, but the electricity that produces light. The incandescent lights were made in the 19th centuries, replacing the earthen lamps, oil lamps and candles. Since then a lot of transformation has occurred and now in 21st century many energy saving bulbs, LED lights, decorating lights, etc. have been manufactured.

The Energy Bulbs those are available in two types:

  1. Incandescent bulbs: The filament is the main ingredient in these bulbs. When electricity passes through it, then light is created. The filament needs to be protected by the oxygen, hence is kept inside the bulb. When the filament is heated enough; it produces light. But, it takes up much more energy than required and its shelf life is also considerably less.
  2. Fluorescent bulbs: These are the new age bulbs that came into the picture before LEDs. It is basically a glass tube filled with argon gas and some amount of mercury. It produces less amounts of heat and gives away much lighter in comparison to incandescent bulbs. The fluorescent bulbs are whiter and that is because of the photon emitted due to electron and mercury reaction. Normally, people say it is not as brighter as yellow bulb, but it lasts longer and saves energy. So, that makes it a better investment for the long haul.

Energy light bulbs are a new attraction amongst the customers. The light bulb that does not only produce light, but also saves electricity is the new age Mantra. These days’ people have become more and more aware of the technology and are always looking for alternatives that are better, save their hard earned money and also serve the purpose. The fluorescent light bulbs are available in all shapes and sizes like spiral, candles, bulb shape, energy saving flood light, coloured candles, dimmable bulbs and many more to suit the requirements of the customers. These bulbs can be used in drawing rooms along with the tubes, guest rooms, washrooms and even children’s study rooms. They not only help in eliminating darkness, but also spread the light evenly in the entire room without tiring out the children. The bulbs can be bought in bulk and will not expire until used. Most of the people these days order bulbs online from high end virtual stores as it gives them freedom to view bulbs of different brands and compare them before buying. The bulbs are affordable in price and have a larger shelf life that makes them pocket as well as energy friendly.
