JEE- Main: Delay in Admit Cards

JEE- Main is the gateway to almost all the engineering colleges in India. It is basically AIEEE and IIT- JEE merged together. It is also the eligibility test for JEE- Advanced. All IIT aspirants have to appear for JEE- main. The candidates shortlisted on the basis of their JEE- Main score will then have to appear for JEE- Advanced.
This year the exam will be held on 3rd April (Offline mode) and on 9th and 10th April, 2016 (online mode) indifferent slots. The registrations for the exam began on 1st December, 2015 and ended on 31st December, 2015. The registration process was online and one had to make the payment of the application fees online as well. The application fees was different for both online and offline mode of examination.
JEE- Main consist of two papers- Paper I for candidates applying to B.E & B.Tech courses and Paper II for candidates applying for B.Arch & B. Planning courses. Candidates can apply for the paper as per their choice. Also, they can appear for both the papers. Paper I consists of three sections- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. These sections cover the topics of 10+ 2 level. Paper II consists of three sections- Mathematics, Aptitude skill and Drawing test. Paper I is both pen- paper based and online test while paper II is only pen paper based test. The total time duration of the test is 3 hours. There will be around 90 questions altogether. Each question carries 4 marks and there is a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer. No response means no deduction of marks.
JEE- Mains admit cards were supposed to be released in the first week of March. However, the release of the admit cards has been delayed. There is no exact reason mentioned for this. Last year around 13 lakh students appeared for the exam and this year the number of applications is higher than last year. Once the admit cards are out, candidates can download it from the official site of JEE- Mains. No hard copy of the same will be sent to any candidate. It is one of the mandatory document that has to be carried by the candidate on the exam day.
