  • The accumulated dust in the rug may cause health problem, vacuum cleaning will not always help. So once in two month clean the rug with professional rug cleaners.
  • Use absorbent pad to remove strain and liquid from the wool rugs, after using absorbent pad make sure you dry vacuum it.
  • Stream clean can be rented or purchased to clean the rug, however it is not recommended to use the stream cleaner by self. Hire a professional to use these tools.
  • Wet cleaning of wool rug cause bad odor, this can be overcome by drying the rug for not more than six hours.
  • On wool rugs it is not advised to use high alkaline chemical for cleaning it. The Ph limit of chemical used on wool rugs should not be more than 8.5.
  • Say no to use bleach on wool as it will dissolve it, similarly do not use hot cleaning solution.
  • If the cleaning methods doesn’t work then it is advisable to go for dying the rugs.
