ISO 17021 Procedures and Audit Process for Accreditation Bodies

ISO 17021 specifies requirements for bodies operating audit and certification of management systems. It specifies general requirements for such institutions with audit and certification in the field of quality, environmental and other management systems. These bodies are referred to as certification bodies. Compliance with these requirements is intended to ensure that certification bodies operate management system certification in a competent, consistent and impartial manner, thereby facilitating the recognition of such bodies and the acceptance of their certifications on a national and international basis.

Accreditation reduces risk for business and its customers by ensuring that recognized conformity assessment bodies (CABs) are competent to carry out the work they undertake within their scope of accreditation. Accreditation Bodies (ABS) which are members of IAF and they accredit CABs are required to comply with the relevant international standards and the applicable IAF application documents for the consistent application of those standards.

The purpose of ISO 17021 Procedures is the determination of methods and responsibilities for the receipt of applications for managing the certificate, conducting evaluations, preparation and issue of certificates to the good organization. ISO / IEC 17021 is the basis for facilitating the recognition of the certification system in the interest of international trade. ISO 17021 procedures, criteria and methodologies that a certification body is committed to the implementation of the assessment of an entity that applies for compliance with certification standards. The assessment of an entity for compliance with standards Certification is voluntary and at the election of the candidate entity, and it is the responsibility of such an entity is sufficient evidence that the certification will provide justified.

Procedures for ISO 17021 Audit

All information and documents, including operating concepts and reports are considered confidential. Certification bodies: any information or documents not release without the prior written consent of the participant in the program. Auditors should conduct themselves in a professional and ethical manner.

Certification bodies and members of the audit team and their employer does not participate in the assessment or advice from a potential buyer broker or a real estate purchase checked in the previous three years without the written approval of the audited party. Certification bodies, members of the audit team, and employers have the audited party of participation in reporting such activities after the three-year period immediately following commencement of these activities for a period of at least 10 years after the audit.

Prior to the exercise of an audit and the participant program acceptance of the audit team, will disclose the certification bodies and the audit team members to the party audit prior land evaluation or assessment work or land brokerage activities or other professional services which they or their employers to check performed with respect to the property.
