I went to a school baking completion to raise money for my child’s elementary school. There were all kinds of desserts. Most people made cakes, brownies, and cookies while others tried their hand at something different like chocolate truffles and cake pops. We were each able to try the samples and then give our vote for the one we liked best. I got to a table that was labelled "Chimichangas." Chimichangas for dessert, Yes, absolutely, that is what I want! Who wouldn’t love chimichangas for dessert? When I first heard of these I thought it was crazy. Then, I ate one and couldn’t believe my taste buds. It was delicious. I gave them my vote and then decided that I just had to have the recipe.

The family gave me the recipe and I tucked it away in my purse for later. After the event, I read the chimichanga recipe and it turns out to be easy to make. The ingredients are simple and I might even have them all on hand. However, just to be sure that I have fresh ingredients, I make a trip to the grocery store and buy everything on the list.

To make an easy chimichanga dessert recipe, I need thin flour tortillas, softened cream cheese, sour cream, powdered sugar, cinnamon, real vanilla extract, sliced strawberries, granulated sugar, and oil for cooking. Simple ingredients that don’t cost a lot of money always work for me. After getting back from the grocery store I clean up and begin baking my chimichangas.

Since this is my first attempt at reading easy chimichanga recipe I follow the directions precisely. First, I need to whip the cream cheese, the sour cream and vanilla, a bit of sugar together. After they are thoroughly mixed I have to fold in the sliced strawberries. Next, I need to fill the tortillas with the filling and wrap them up almost like a burrito. I fry the filled tortillas in oil until they are golden brown, after they drain for a minute I roll them in cinnamon and sugar. That’s it. It’s that simple to make the recipe.

I taste my first batch and it is delicious. I served them to my family and they were all amazed at how good the chimichangas tasted (http://chefmom.sheknows.com/articles/973749/restaurant-copycat-chilis-chimichangas). I make the decision to use this recipe for the card party that I am having in a week. I know that these will be easy to make and good to eat while we are playing cards. The dessert will also taste good with tea and coffee to drink. I know that my friends are going to want a copy of the recipe so to make an easy to read copy of the chimichanga recipe, I type it on the computer and then print it out. This is definitely the best dessert recipe that I have made in a long time.
