Honda Navi Launched in India – All Things You Need to Know

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the Navi at a starting price of Rs. 39,500(ex-showroom, Delhi) and what featured under the curtains was simply beyond anyone’s expectations. The Japanese two-wheeler maker called the Navi as a new fun riding segment and will initially be available in five colour options. Honda Navi Street, Honda Navi Adventure and Honda Navi off-road are the three variants introduced with each having distinctive characteristics of its own. Bookings have already commenced through an Android application and the range will look to entice primarily young buyers. The first model from Honda to be conceptualised and produced entirely in India, measures about 1,805 mm in length, 748 mm in width, 1,039 mm in height and has 1,286 mm wheelbase. It has a credible ground clearance of 156 mm with the seat standing 765 mm tall. The kerb weight is rated at 101 kg and the fuel tank can hold 3.8-litres at full capacity. Honda Navi Price Honda Navi is priced from Rs. 39,500 and will offer a lot of value to compensate for that price tag. Chassis, Suspension and Brakes Constructed on an Under Born Type frame, the Navi rides on a telescopic suspension at the front and a spring loaded hydraulic type system at the back. It wears a 130 mm drum brakes at either end with 90/90-12 tyre up front and 90/100-10 tyre at the rear. Honda Navi Engine & Specification Honda claims the Navi range is a ‘new kind of ride’ and gets powered by a 110 cc single-cylinder engine with the HET (Honda Eco Technology). It is tuned to generate 7.83 hp of maximum power output at 7,000 rpm and 8.96 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm and comes coupled with a V-matic automatic transmission helping it to achieve a rated top speed of 81 kmph. Honda Navi Mileage Expect this Honda scooter just like others to deliver segment best mileage claimed numbers which should be around the 60 km/l mark. Thanks to HET technology and light kerb weight.
