Is modern toothpaste part of the problem? A much more complex problem than it looks.

In the modern era, also known by some as the Golden Age of Allergies, modern consumables are very much under siege for their perceived problem-causing characteristics. Toothpaste, in particular, has been receiving a lot of flak from both professionals and consumer advocates in recent years.

The reasons for criticism vary, but all have a few common issues:

  • A lot of toothpaste on the market is just plain lousy toothpaste – It can’t do the job. Teeth aren’t really clean, causing dental and oral hygiene issues.
  • Additives and other substances included in modern toothpastes can cause reactions in some people – This is perfectly true; a certain number of people are likely to be affected by many common additives, including preservatives, food coloring, and other materials.
  • Some whitening agents, notably titanium dioxide and hydrogen peroxide, are actually quite powerful chemicals. Many professionals believe that these chemicals should not be indiscriminately used in the general market.
  • Many consumer advocates aren’t particularly happy about manufacturing quality, either. The El Cheapo/Brand X toothpaste brands have a thoroughly deserved reputation as inferior products. Many consumer advocates, in fact, don’t think these products should be on the market at all.

The other, critical, issue is meeting the needs of individuals. Everybody’s dental health is different; some people may have mouth flora problems, some may have a lot of plaque, or be prone to gum infections, for example.

In a market where many of the products are also seen as major parts of the problems, it’s not surprising that new products would get a lot of attention. Products specifically designed as natural products, without all the issues of the artificial ingredients, get even more attention.

One of the best known, and certainly one of the most widely distributed, is a range of products called Estrella Dental Care with HerbalBriteTM. This range includes all natural toothpaste, like natural whitening toothpaste with no fluoride or sodium lauryl sulfate, made with natural herbs.

One thing for sure – Consumers obviously don’t seem to mind the chance to buy their truly different toothpaste with no chemistry lessons required. For more information, and to see their full range of products, visit their website here at http://www.purenaturaltoothpaste.com/.
