Paws in the Miniature Fairy Garden

If you are a ‘dog person’ you know that dogs are a part of every decision you make and have a huge impact on your life...including in your miniature garden. They are part of your family and you like to add mementos and tributes to them around your home. I personally own two large dogs – one Golden Retriever, and one Chocolate Lab and I am currently resting my laptop on my Golden Retriever as I type this article. They are always around and have a constant impact in my life. There are several tributes to my pups around my home. I have a sign hanging from my china cabinet "My Kids Have Paws" as well as a tea towel hanging in my kitchen that states, "Be the person your dog thinks you are". Just one more celebration of your dog would be to add dog accessories to your miniature garden. It is common knowledge that fairies also love dogs, so you could easily add a beloved pet to your miniature garden to celebrate ‘man’s best friend’.

Think about your favorite memories with your fur babies and try to recreate those scenes within your miniature garden. A fun idea would be a bonfire – surrounded with chairs and a dog lounging underneath a fairy's feet. When you are a dog owner you are used to your dog being a shadow and being a part of most of your memories. I also think about my dogs love for water and bringing them to the beach near my home. They love walking trails and boat rides and swimming and retrieving duck decoys. You could easily recreate a beach scene with dogs playing on the beach, towels laying out, chairs and a cooler. You could even add a boat on a bed of blue beach glass and have a dog playing out on the water. As a final touch, place a fairy house close to the beach.

Another great idea is gifting these miniature accessories to a fellow dog lover, so they can add a scene to their home or yard to celebrate their dogs. It is a thoughtful and unique gift for a garden loving friend. It could be their first step toward sharing your passion for miniature gardening with a close friend. Just remember that dog lovers are a silly bunch of characters whose dogs are part of their immediate family. As a dog lover myself I want to add my dog to my entire fairy gardening projects.
